Your Role
As a Java Software Engineer, you’ll work on creating, improving, and maintaining software that powers their groundbreaking parking solutions. You’ll collaborate with a talented group of developers to deliver high-quality, user-friendly systems that meet real-world needs.
This is a hybrid role, allowing you to work from home up to two days a week while enjoying the benefits of face-to-face collaboration at their Eindhoven office.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Designing, developing, and testing Java applications.
- Optimizing and enhancing existing software systems.
- Troubleshooting technical issues and resolving bugs.
- Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Participating in code reviews to ensure quality and best practices.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development.
What They’re Looking For
The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in Java development and is eager to contribute to meaningful, impactful projects.
Must-haves:
- A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Java frameworks like Spring and Hibernate.
- Knowledge of web services (RESTful or SOAP).
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Experience with version control tools like Git.
- Excellent English communication skills (Dutch is a bonus).
- The right to work in the Netherlands (visa sponsorship is not available).
Nice-to-haves:
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Knowledge of DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
- Experience with parking system integrations (XControl)
- Comfort working in Linux environments.
